The current generation of Super Duty series is present for about two years, so there is no doubt that the 2019 Ford F-250 will continue in the pretty much same way, featuring no bigger changes. The famous truck has been known for its amazing capabilities for years. This is the entry-level model of the company’s heavy-duty series. It offers a great balance between capabilities and comfort. So, it’s no wonder that this is one of the most popular versions of complete F-Series lineup. The upcoming model will represent the third year model of the current generation. It will continue with the same design characteristics, while the biggest changes will be in terms of new standard features.
What’s new for the 2019 Ford F-250?
As we’ve already mentioned, changes for the next year will be minimal. The biggest novelty is probably a new Sport package for the Lariat trim, which adds several interesting features. Also, the premium Sony sound system has been replaced with the B&O Play system. Other than that, the 2019 Ford F-250 continues in the same way.
2019 Ford F-250 Trim Levels
There will be six trim levels in the offer for the next-year model – XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Also, there will be three cab styles in the offer – Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab.
The base 2019 Ford F-250 XL is pretty much a bare bone, a classic working machine. It comes with steel wheels, while some of the rare convenience features are things like rearview camera and four-speaker audio system.
Moving next to the XLT trim and you can count on a little bit more standard equipment. Some of the highlights are 18-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated mirrors with built-in turn signals, 4.2-inch display, voice controls, cruise control etc.
A mid-range Lariat trim adds things like parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats,8-inch touchscreen, power-adjustable pedals, power-sliding rear window etc.
The 2019 Ford F-250 King Ranch will continue exclusively in Crew Cab layout, with plenty of unique styling details. There are also several additions in terms of standard equipment. Some of the highlights are a remote start, upgraded leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, driver-seat memory settings, navigation, heated steering wheels and more.
When it comes to the 2019 Ford F-250 Platinum, some of the notable upgrades are bigger 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, automatic wipers, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and much more.
Finally, there is a top-range Limited trim, which comes with unique interior styling. Also, there are things like a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof etc.
2019 Ford F-250 Engines
The 2019 Ford F-250 will continue with two familiar engines in the offer. Base models will feature a familiar 6.8-liter V8 16v Boss gasoline engine, which is good for about 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. However, the real deal starts with the super-capable 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel engine, which offers a tremendous amount of power and torque. It received an update last year and now delivers around 450 horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque.
How much weight can the Ford F-250 tow?
The Ford F-250 is a pretty capable machine. With the base gasoline engine, you can count on up to 14.000 pounds of max towing capacity. Obviously, a diesel engine has much more to offer. So, max capacity goes up to 19.000 pounds, or even more if you use a 5th trailer wheel.
