If we consider all the changes that have been introduced for the current 2018-year model, it is pretty much for sure that the 2019 Lexus NX will continue in the same way. The brand’s entry-level model has been around since 2014. Based on the Rav4, it offers similar dimensions and overall shape, but with far more refinement, more attractive styling and plenty of luxury. The recent update has brought a lot of novelties, both outside and inside, while the mechanics remained unchanged. Considering all these novelties, 2019 NX should continue in the same way.
2019 Lexus NX design
After a major update from the last year, it is hard to expect some bigger novelties in the near future. The upcoming model will continue with familiar design characteristics when it comes both to 2019 Lexus NX interior and exterior design. This means that all versions will remain unchanged, including performance-oriented 2019 Lexus NX F Sport. The last-year update has brought a lot of novelties. There is a completely new front fascia, which comes with new front bumper, the upper part of the grille etc. Exterior changes are not so significant, but definitely make the crossover more attractive.
When will Lexus NX come redesigned?
This crossover is in a close relation with Rav4. Considering that the Toyota’s best-selling crossover has been redesigned recently, we can expect the same from this one in the near future, probably in about two years.
2019 Lexus NX Interior
On the inside, we expect no bigger changes. Once again, the recent update included plenty of interior novelties. Although the base shape of the cabin has remained the same, there is a whole bunch of new details, including new color schemes, bigger touchscreen, and many other details. There are also some interesting additions in terms of standard equipment.
Unlike most of the cars on the market that come in numerous variants, this one has only two trim levels to offer. The base model already comes with a full load of standard equipment. It is important to mention that this version has been renamed, so the new model will come as NX 300, instead of 2019 Lexus NX 200t. Some of the notable standard features are things like 17-inch wheels, LED headlights and fog lights, automatic dual-zone climate control, simulated leather upholstery, keyless ignition, 8-inch touchscreen, power-adjustable seats and much more. There is also a bunch of safety features, like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, lane departure warning and intervention, and automatic high beams.
On the other side, the 2019 Lexus NX F Sport will continue as a sport-oriented version. This model comes with numerous exterior enhancements, but also with sporty suspension, brakes etc. Also, you can count on things like sporty seats and steering wheel, new color schemes, new instrument cluster etc. Besides these two trims, there are also few optional packages, which raise the level of comfort even more.
2019 Lexus NX engines
Both trims come with the same engine under the hood. It is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four unit, which is good for about 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It comes in a pair with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which delivers power to front wheels, which AWD is optional.
A hybrid version combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, which makes around 195 horses in total. The power is sent via CVT.
2019 Lexus NX release date
