The smallest crossover from the brand’s lineup is coming significantly updated as 2019 Lincoln MKC. Originally introduced in 2015, this was the first compact SUV ever to come from Lincoln. It shares most of the design characteristics with the Ford Escape, including an FWD layout, which isn’t an often case with models from this luxury brand. Anyway, the company has prepared some very interesting novelties for the next year. This is a classic facelift, so the 2019 MKC comes with a completely new front end. On the other side, the rest of the truck remains pretty much unchanged. Same goes for the interior design, which remained practically the same.
2019 Lincoln MKC Design
In terms of base design characteristics, the 2019 Lincoln MKC remains pretty much the same. It continues with the same mechanics, borrowed from the Ford Escape. The two models share the same platform and most of the mechanics. On the other side, the MKC comes with its own styling, which has been updated for this occasion. The company has finally dropped its previous, not so appealing design language. We can finally say that the MKC is a pretty crossover. It borrows the design language directly from the new Navigator, which means a completely new chrome grille and reshaped headlights. The front bumper also comes with changes, with a bit of reshaping and a lot of new chrome details. Resto of the crossover continues in the same way. The 2019 Lincoln MKC comes with a familiar shape but gets new color options and new wheels designs.
2019 Lincoln MKC Interior
The 2019 Lincoln MKC interior comes with no bigger changes, so we can say that the company didn’t solve any of the problems that characterized previous year models. The MKC is still pretty tight on rear seats and definitely can’t accommodate taller passengers. Same goes for the cargo capacity, which features below class-average numbers. In terms of dashboard design, it remains pretty much the same. It looks ok, but there are still some areas that feature pretty cheap plastic, which seems unacceptable for this price range.
On the other side, the list of standard equipment seems pretty long, especially when it comes to tech features. You can count on an 8-inch touchscreen with the latest SYNC 3 infotainment system, smartphone integration, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, USB, satellite radio, 9-speaker audio system etc. Higher trims also include things like navigation, premium 14-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof etc.
Are there any changes on the 2019 Lincoln MKC Black Label?
The 2019 Lincoln MKC Black Label is once again the top-range version of this crossover. It adopts all the changes that came with this update but also adds few more novelties in terms of styling. When it comes to standard equipment, it includes leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, front parking sensors, lane keep assist, parallel park assist and many other advanced safety systems.
2019 Lincoln MKC Engines
The 2019 Lincoln MKC continues with same two engines in the offer. Base models feature a familiar 2.0-liter engine that is good for about 240 horsepower. On the other side, higher trims come with even more efficient 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, which has a max output of 285 horsepower. Both engines come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. When it comes to fuel economy, the base engine returns around 21 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway. These are pretty much class-average numbers, but the good thing about these engines is that they don’t require premium fuel.
How much does 2019 Lincoln MKC cost?
When it comes to the 2019 Lincoln MKC price, base models go around 33.000 dollars. On the other side, fully-loaded versions could easily go close to 50.000 dollars.
