2020 Ford F-250: Redesign, Changes and Increased Towing Capacity

In the company’s lineup, this is the entry-level model of so-called Super Duty Series. These models are present for full two decades and we have seen several versions so far. The current generation heavily relies on the new aluminum-body F-150 and it is on the market since 2016. Two years later, we are already hearing stories about the 2020 Ford F-250 redesign. The fact is that the testing model has been spied recently and that the upcoming mid-cycle refresh will be pretty intense in many aspects.

The new model is still under heavy camouflage and we are counting on significant styling improvement. Moreover, the interior will also come with plenty of novelties, both in terms of styling and standard equipment. However, the biggest novelty for the upcoming model will definitely be a new gasoline engine, which is allegedly ready to power next-year Super Duty models.

As we already mentioned, the 2020 Ford F-250 changes will be numerous. The testing model has been spotted and it looks like we are about to see a lot of new styling details. 2020 Ford F-250 Engines

The most important novelty for the next year will definitely be a new 2020 Ford F-250 gas engine. The current model uses a 6.2-liter V8, which is good for about 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The new engine will feature a displacement of 7.0 liters and will be much more efficient. All this clearly indicates that we can expect signifiantly bigger total output. Exact numbers are yet to be announced.

On the other side, the famous 6.7-liter Turbodiesel will continue in the same way, featuring 450 horses and magnificent 935 pound-feet of torque.

Some reports also suggest a new 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2020 Ford F-250 increased towing capacity is another thing that has been speculated. If not for any other reason, then for a new gasoline engine, we should see improvements in this aspect. Current gasoline models can tow up to 12.500 pounds, while diesel versions are good for about 14.000 pounds.

Expect to see 2020 Ford F-250 sometime in the second half of next year. Price shouldn’t change, so base models will go around 33.000 dollars.
