After the recent update, we are pretty sure that the 2020 Nissan Murano will continue in the same way. The current generation has been on the market since 2014. After four years of production, the company decided to update this crossover. Updates included various aspects, including both exterior and interior designs. On the other side, the powertrain department remained the same.

All in all, the Murano is now pretty fresh and ready to compete in this very crowded segment for another couple of years. Therefore, we have no doubt that the next year won’t bring any important novelty. In the best case, we could see a couple of new color options and a little bit more standard equipment. Other than that, things will remain the same. So, the 2020 Nissan Murano should arrive sometime late in the year, most likely in December.

2020 Nissan Murano Design

As we already mentioned, the 2020 Nissan Murano will continue without more important changes. The recent update has brought a lot of interesting novelties, mainly in terms of the styling. On the other side, the base layout has remained the same. The overall shape looks largely the same, while the most notable changes are, naturally, at the front end.

There are a new front fascia, new front grille, and several more details. Most of them are on the bumper, which came with a new shape of air intakes, fog lights, and similar things. You can also notice a lot of new chrome details. Both headlights and taillight have been updated. Finally, the updated model features a new wheels design, as well as a couple of new color options.

On the other side, the chassis and mechanics remained unchanged. This crossover rides on a familiar D Platform, which is highly beneficial in terms of the interior space but also delivers pretty good driving dynamics. Given all the changes, there is no word about the 2020 Nissan Murano redesign. The current generation will carry on for another couple of years, while the redesign is expected to happen beyond 2020.

2020 Nissan Murano Interior

When it comes to the 2020 Nissan Murano interior, things definitely won’t change too much. Even the recent update wasn’t particularly interesting in this aspect. The company introduced some new color schemes, as well a little bit finer materials in some areas. Of course, tech features have been updated as well. Still, the overall cabin layout has remained unchanged.

That is definitely not a bad thing, considering that the Murano is pretty generous in terms of interior space. Also, Nissan offers some of the most comfortable seats in the class, characterized by a high level of comfort and excellent support. The cargo area is also pretty spacious. You can count on 32 cubic feet behind the second row and around 67 cubic feet of the overall cargo volume.

Features

When it comes to standard equipment, the 2020 Nissan Murano will definitely have a lot of things to offer. Even the most basic versions will be equipped with tech goodies like 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, four USB ports etc. Of course, higher trims like a top-range 2020 Nissan Murano Platinum will offer much more, including things like an 11-speaker Bose premium audio system, navigation and much more.

In terms of safety features, base models will come with thigs like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims will offer much more, including advanced systems like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. New for 2019, high-beam assist, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, pedestrian detection and much more.

2020 Nissan Murano Engine

Under the hood, the 2020 Nissan Murano will come with the same setup that came with the initial 2015-year model. That means a pretty capable 3.5-liter V6, which is good for about 260 horsepower. It isn’t the most powerful engine in the class, but it definitely offers more than enough power for a smooth and convenient ride. Still, it comes coupled with a CVT transmission, which is designed to mimic conventional automatic gearbox. It works pretty well, though it can be loud at high speeds.

Many drivers don’t like CVT transmission but it brings one great advantage in this case. You can count on above-average fuel economy, which goes around 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

2020 Nissan Murano Release Date and Price

Considering that there are no bigger changes planned for the next year, there shouldn’t be surprises in terms of the launch date. We expect that the 2020 Nissan Murano release will be scheduled for late 2019. In terms of the price, we expect that base models will go around 31.000 dollars. Fully-loaded versions could go all-away up to 45.000 dollars.
