2020 Nissan Rogue Redesign, Rumors, Changes, Price

Despite several notable drawbacks, the Rogue is still one of the best choices for all those drivers who search for a combination of practicality, functionality, and economy. This isn’t the freshest model in the case, neither the prettiest. Most rivals are more powerful and handle better, but the Rogue stands out with a comfortable upscale cabin and with a long list of standard equipment. It is also one of the most fuel-efficient models in the class. Latest reports suggest that the 2020 Nissan Rogue will come without bigger changes. We are about to see a familiar design, which has been around for about five years.

The company already did a facelift two years ago and we are pretty sure that more important changes won’t come until a complete redesign. Therefore, the 2020 Nissan Rogue should arrive in a typical time of a year, which would be late 2019 in this case.

2020 Nissan Rogue Design

In terms of base design characteristics, the Rogue is a typical compact crossover, though slightly bigger compared to class-average dimensions. Thanks to the company’s well-known platform, this crossover offers plenty of space on the inside. From the outside, it doesn’t feature the most up to date styling, but rather an upgraded version of the previous design language. Despite the recent facelift, it is clear that the company has left a completely new styling for a next-generation model, which will probably come in a year or two. The 2020 Nissan Rogue definitely won’t come with bigger changes in terms of the styling. The best we can get is a couple of new color options.

Mechanically, this crossover rides pretty much the same for about five years. The current generation has been introduced in 2014 and it rides on the company’s familiar CMF platform. It is a typical FF layout, though all-wheel drive is available as well.

2020 Nissan Rogue Interior

The 2020 Nissan Rogue changes will be minimal on the inside as well, which is actually a good thing. The Rouge may not be the most attractive crossover from the outside, but its cabin is one of the bests in the class.

The 2020 Nissan Rogue will continue in the same way, so its cabin will shine in many ways. The first thing you’ll notice is its upscale look. This interior if full of soft-touch materials and leaves an amazing impression, even five years after the redesign. Also, the cabin is pretty spacious. Fronts seats are particularly comfortable, some of the bests in the class. Rear seat legroom is among highest in class and it is also important to mention that rear seats slide. Finally, we came to the cargo area, which is the biggest in its class. You can count on almost 40 cubic feet behind rear seats, while the overall cargo volume goes up to 70 cubic feet. These are pretty impressive numbers that make the Rogue one of the most practical compact crossovers around.

Despite numerous 2020 Nissan Rogue rumors, we won’t see changes in this aspect either. Things will remain pretty much the same and the best we can get is a couple of new color schemes.

When it comes to standard equipment, the current model has a lot to offer. The 2020 Nissan Rogue will continue in the same way and probably come with a couple of additions. Still, the core will remain the same. Base models will be equipped with cloth upholstery, but all those goodies like leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and power-adjustable seats, and a panoramic sunroof will be available.

In terms of tech goodies, base models will come with things like 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and two USB ports. Premium audio system, navigation, and HD Radio are also available.

One of the most impressive things about this small crossover is a very long list of standard safety systems and drivers aids. Even the most basic models are equipped with things like pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, intelligent lane intervention, high-beam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert etc.

Are we going to see any changes under the hood?

Definitely not. The 2020 Nissan Rogue definitely won’t be the quickest crossover in the class, but you can count on amazing mpg ratings. Of course, count on a familiar 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine which is good for about 170 horsepower. Fuel economy goes around 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The 2020 Nissan Rogue Hybrid will also continue in the same way, with a system that delivers 176 horsepower and ensures excellent fuel economy, which goes around 33 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.

2020 Nissan Rogue Release Date and Price
