Considering that a complete redesign of this full-size SUV is still a few years away, we have no doubt that the 2020 Toyota Sequoia will come without more important changes. The current generation of this full-size SUV has been around for more than a decade. However, it is still pretty competitive and strong in many areas. First of all, we are talking about a pretty capable and practical SUV, which is perfect for bigger families, since it offers plenty of space on the inside, including a generous cargo area.
On the other side, the dashboard and complete cabin design look pretty outdated. Also, the fuel economy is way below the average number in the class. All in all, the 2020 Toyota Sequoia will have a fine number of pros and cons, so you would have to calculate before purchasing it. The next-year model should arrive sometime late in 2019.
2020 Toyota Sequoia Design
As we already mentioned, the 2020 Toyota Sequoia will carry on in the same way. Despite being a decade-old vehicle, it has been updated a couple of times so far. The last time we saw bigger changes was a couple of years ago when we saw a typical facelift. It included a lot of changes on the outside, especially at front. All in all, the front end now looks pretty much the same as the more famous Tundra pickup. There is only a couple of differences, particularly in the headlights area. Considering that the current generation is pretty old and that we saw a fine number of novelties a couple of years ago, we are pretty sure that the 2020 Toyota Sequoia will come without any important change. Most like, the only notable changes could be new color options, although this is questionable as well.
2020 Toyota Sequoia Interior
The 2020 Toyota Sequoia will continue to be a mixed bag when it comes to the interior design. On one side, it offers plenty of practicality and functionality. In terms of the space, there is plenty of leg and headroom in the first two rows. The third row isn’t generous in terms of space but still can fit adult passengers, which isn’t so common thing even among full-size SUVs. In terms of the cargo capacity, the Sequoia really shines. You can count on almost 20 cubic feet behind the third row and 120 cubic feet of overall cargo space, which are among class-leading numbers.
On the other side, a weak point of this SUV is interior quality. It’s not bad, but younger rivals are full of finer, soft-touch surfaces and definitely look far more upscale. Another complaint goes to the infotainment system, which definitely belongs to an earlier era of the automotive industry. It may be easy to use, but lacks many modern options, including latest smartphone connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, its 6.1-inch touchscreen is the smallest in class.
The 2020 Toyota Sequoia definitely won’t shine in terms of connectivity features, but it definitely offers a spectacular list of standard safety features. All models are equipped with safety systems and drivers aids like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, pedestrian detection and many more.
2020 Toyota Sequoia Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2020 Toyota Sequoia sometime late in the year. The price probably won’t change, so base models should go around 49.000 dollars.
